gardening at spit & sawdust!
All ages are welcome to come along, help out, learn how to grow in our outdoor space - and once things start to appear, share the harvests!
Head gardener Emma Geliot is leading this project, transforming Spit & Sawdust's yard into an urban oasis - with public sessions offering the chance to take part in growing fruit, flowers, vegetables and plants. Emma has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all things plant related. She's already started setting up a wormery to turn our kitchen scraps into nutritious garden feed, planting bulbs, fruit trees and herbs, and preparing the beds and soil ready for the Spring.
This is part of a year long gardening and art project, where we will have seasonal celebratory events and activities alongside the regular gardening sessions.
We aim to make the sessions accessible to all, please let us know if you have any access needs and we can plan activity to suit you.
Refreshments will be provided.
