You MUST be a member to use the skate park. On your first visit you will fill out a Membership and Consent form (or if you are under 16, ad adult will complete one for you). Signing this form means you agree to the following terms and Conditions and will abide by the safety information.

Safety Information
The risk of injury from the activities involved in using the skate park is significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist. All participants knowingly and freely assume such risks, both known and unknown, and assume full responsibility for their participation and for having and using the appropriate safety equipment. We do not accept any responsibility for other participant’s failure to comply with these rules other than due to our negligence.
We strongly recommend satisfactory safety equipment is worn by all participants at all times. This includes helmets, wrist guards, knee and elbow pads.
Under 12’s MUST wear helmets. Under 18s MUST wear helmets and knee pads on the vert ramp.
If you engage in activities without safety equipment you do so at your own risk.
If you have any medical conditions (permanent or temporary) or think you may be pregnant please consult your doctor for medical advice before using the park.
It is your own responsibility to ensure you are fit to participate. You must inform us of any medical conditions.
All equipment must be in good working order with no loose parts.
You are responsible for maintaining your own equipment.
Do not attempt to ride or skate beyond your own ability and skill level. Park staff are on hand for informal advice or if you are unsure about how to skate / ride the park.
Be aware of users who are younger, or less experienced than yourself.
Age restrictions are in place to protect children as much as possible. Open sessions are for 5 years and over, the vert ramp can only be skated by people 10 years and over.
All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult over 18. It is the parent or responsible adult who is ultimately responsible for that child.
We do not advise beginners and young children use the park at peak times. We have a separate session for young participants and we also offer coaching. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
If an accident occurs, whether you are involved or not, please stop skating / riding if you are asked to do so until a member of staff tells you it is safe to continue.
There is a qualified First Aider on site at all times. If you need assistance report to the main desk.
All accidents and incidents must be reported to a member of staff immediately.
Fire exits and information about what to do in the event of a fire are on display around the skate park. If you are unsure about where they are, please ask a member of staff.
No tampering or opening the fire extinguishers, fire alarms or fire doors other than in the event of a fire will be tolerated. You will be asked to leave the park and will not be refunded your entry fee if you are caught doing so.
Park etiquette
Be aware of other park users at all times.
Respect other users, visitors and staff.
Wait your turn on ramps and don’t cut across others.
Do not use the park in a way that endangers others.
Do not use excessive speed.
Bullying, violence of any kind and abusive behaviour towards other participants, visitors or staff will not be tolerated.
Reasonable waxing of curbs is allowed, waxing of any other surface is prohibited.
Do not stand or sit on ramps where you may cause an obstruction to other users.
Use the ramps and park for its intended purpose.
Please put your rubbish in the bin.
No throwing of objects, including boards, helmets and other equipment.
General
You must be a member and have fully completed this form to use the skate park.
You must inform us immediately if any information supplied on this form changes.
You must follow any instruction given to you by a member of staff.
Anyone suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted to use the park, and may be asked to leave the premises.
You may not use the skatepark if you have been served alcohol in our café. A wristband system is in place, once you buy an alcoholic drink, your wristband will be removed and entry to the skatepark that day will no longer be allowed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the building.
In the absence of negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation committed by Spit & Sawdust, their employees, officers, officials or agents, these Terms hereby exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law all responsibility and liability for the death, personal injury or illness of any person whilst present on the site.
We cannot be responsible for personal belongings. Neither Spit & Sawdust or its employees or agents shall be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to valuables or any personal property that belongs to any person whilst on our premises.
Bikes left in the bike rack, and cars in the car park are left at your own risk.
These terms and conditions and safety information change from time to time, you must ensure you have read the latest version which is available at the park and on our website.
By signing the membership and consent form you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
